Comedian John Mulaney, age 38, is divorcing his artist wife of six years, Anna Marie Tendler, age 36, after his 60-day stay in rehab. The comedian has been open about his struggles with addiction as well as his long-term relationship with Tendler in his stand-up acts.
After being sober for over 10 years, the comedian publicly admitted that he had relapsed before checking himself into a rehab facility for drugs and alcohol abuse for 60 days. While he went to rehab in 2020, he filed for divorce against his wife of 6 years in early 2021.
Mulaney’s public relations officials confirmed the divorce to Page Six and added, “John will not have any further comment as he continues to focus on his recovery and getting back to work.”
Tendler also works in the arts, but she’s a visual artist who works on furniture, canvases, and even people through doing their hair and makeup.
“I am heartbroken that John has decided to end our marriage,” Tendler said in a statement.

He recently announced a new tour and did a sold-out five-day residency in Manhattan. He also one of the head producers of the TV show Big Mouth. Tendler is not nearly in the public eye as much as Mulaney, so it’s hard to say how much income she generates on her own. It’s possible that she’ll be receiving millions in the divorce settlement.
